Together (2000)
In het originele 'Together' neemt Moodysson ons mee naar een commune in Stockholm in de jaren 70. Deze groep excentrieke en liefdevolle individuen probeert een alternatieve manier van leven te vinden, weg van de normen en waarden van de mainstream samenleving. Met humor, hart en eerlijkheid toont de film hoe hun idealen botsen met de realiteit van het dagelijks leven. 'Together' is een ode aan vriendschap, vrijheid en de zoektocht naar betekenisvolle verbindingen.
Together 99 (2024)
Na 24 jaar keert Moodysson terug naar dezelfde personages en hun wereld in 'Together 99'. De communeleden zijn ouder en de tijd heeft hen gevormd, maar hun zoektocht naar een betere samenleving is nog niet voorbij. Deze film biedt een nostalgische blik op de idealen van de jaren 70, terwijl het ook reflecteert op de veranderingen en uitdagingen van de moderne tijd. 'Together 99' is zowel een intieme reünie als een kritisch en ontroerend portret van mensen die proberen trouw te blijven aan hun jeugdige idealen.
Met onze speciale combiticket van €20 krijg je de kans om beide films achter elkaar te zien. Op 8 juni zal de marathon vertoond worden met Nederlandse ondertiteling. Op 12 juni zal de marathon vertoond worden met Engelse ondertiteling. Beide marathons bevatten een pauze van ca. 30 minuten.

Together (2000)
In the original ‘Together’, Moodysson takes us to a commune in Stockholm in the 1970s. This group of eccentric and loving individuals tries to find an alternative way of life, away from the norms and values of mainstream society. With humour, heart and honesty, the film shows how their ideals clash with the realities of everyday life. ‘Together’ is an ode to friendship, freedom and the search for meaningful connections.
Together 99 (2024)
After 24 years, Moodysson returns to the same characters and their world in ‘Together 99’. The community members are older and time has shaped them, but their quest for a better society is not over. This film offers a nostalgic look at the ideals of the 1970s, while also reflecting on the changes and challenges of modern times. ‘Together 99’ is both an intimate reunion and a critical and moving portrait of people trying to stay true to their youthful ideals.
With our special €20 combo ticket, you get the chance to see both films back-to-back. On 8 June, the marathon will be screened with Dutch subtitles. On 12 June, the marathon will be screened with English subtitles. Both marathons will include an intermission of about 30 minutes.
